Monograms are typically placed in first, LAST, middle initial order. For example, if your name was Jeffrey Michael Smith, your monogram would be jSm in that order, with the larger initial (your last initial) placed in the center.
Some men prefer their initials in order of first, MIDDLE, last but it is completely preference based.
